Bringing art to life

Artful Splodgers also offer a range of school-based workshops to support the National Curriculum throughout Early Years Foundation and Key Stages 1 and 2.

Working closely with your school, our team of professional artists Luke Adamson, Tracey Cartledge and Cathy Brydges will individually tailor the content of workshops to complement the school curriculum and calendar including PHSE issues, festivals cross-curricular days as well as looking at the broader context of history of art.

We'll introduce a wide range of materials and techniques including watercolours and oils, charcoal and pastels as well as experimenting with clay, wire and textiles. In the process classes learn about colour, line and tone and have the opportunity to create their own masterpieces in both 2D and 3D. We use a combination of individual and group work to build confidence and skills and ensure that pupils get the most out of the experience.

Our workshops are open to pupils, teacher (as part of their ongoing INSET training) and parents and carers (through the parent support adviser), so everyone can get involved and make learning about art fun!
